We live in chicago, and we want to do something at that day, because we're having 3yrs of dating! But we're sort of tired of going to restaurants and movies. (That's kind of typical) So I need some ideas on where to go on that day in Chicago. I want it to be special. And that day is coming soon, it's this SUNDAY!!!! So I need help A.S.A.P.

Maybe go to the place where you first met, or the place you had your first date. You could have a picnic together, go to a park, It may be cold but you guys could bundle up in a blanket, share some food and maybe some wine and talk.
I named a star after my boyfriend and I. It was for our 2 year celebration and I borrowed a telescope from my mom's friend and we had some champagne out on our deck and tried to find our star... it was one of the most romantic things ever....

This weekend is supposed to be rainy in the Chi. So, how about the two of you go to Children's Memorial Hospital and visit some of the sick children there. So many do not have visitors and need someone to see them. Now, I know this is not the typical date. But you know what, you'll always remember that experience and that there are so many others that are not as fortunate as you to walk, run , skip, play. It should help you stay grounded in that while you have one another, enjoy it for all that it is and has become. You can connect on a whole deeper level. Even if its not about the hospital, but look to help someone that day.
Sometimes a celebration is not about the fanfare, but the meaning behind it.

Go on vacation to the islands or something like that. Leave Chicago and explore together. If you're stuck on time, go somewhere for the weekend and have fun!

there are boat rides on the river, or the lakefront. you can see the top of Sears tower. you can go to the zoo. there is the museum of science and industry. a hockey game. a baseball game.
you can stay home and watch dvd's.

If you or your bf likes sports, then go to a ball game. If you want something romantic, then have a walk on the sunset.
