Never forget that Chavez gave more money to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina than the Bush Administration. He also gave millions of barrels of free oil, not only to the victims, but to poor across the country that were affected by the rate increases that the oil companies inflicted upon us (while making record profits that year...Exxon made $100 billion in profits in '05!!!).
Chavez has been voted into office in internationally observed elections twice...both times at more than 76%! He treats his people wonderfully! The only people that don't like him are the corporatists, because he is all about taking care of the people! The economy of the nation has expanded rapidly since he took office.
These ignorant conservatives want to boycott a company that has done so much for the people of our country!!! Talk about working against your own best interests!

Oil is fungible, so if we continue to use as much oil but buy it somewhere else, that just means that Venezuela sells their oil to another buyer. That said, to the extent that it makes sense to "vote with my wallet" I'm more bothered by Saudi oil because that country has been playing the US for fools for years.
