He made a speach about religions, and how you cannot use force to convert people. As an example, he quoted some old 14th century text. The author said (I"m paraphrasing) that muhammad is evil and muslims never contributed anything but evil to modern civilization.
He has not formally apologized, just said he was misunderstood. This may be true, but the Pope needs to be held to a higher standard, as millions of people look to him for guidance. Yes, muslims should be upset. No, they should not be killing nuns or setting off bombs because of this.

we Christians have gone through so much prosecution since the time of Jesus,because all the Apostles spoke the truth,the truth still hurts today,i think the Muslims have a lot more apologizing to do than the pope,they should apologize for 9/11,for violating human rights in the Arab world,(just imagine you cant even have a bible in some Arab countries),so many Christians in Arab are in prisons today just for practicing Christianity.
