Generally it is alleged that those between the ages of 10-30 can hear the ringtone, while those over 30 have difficulty hearing or cannot hear it at all.

HOWEVER --

Hearing the mosquito ringtone is not a function of age, but of hearing loss. In other words, just because you're older than the "supposed" age at which one CANNOT hear the ringtone, doesn't mean you won't be able to hear the ringtone.

The reason this is true is that all of us experience different levels of hearing loss due to our surrounding environments and our own bodily function.

Some people who are 18 years old have terrible hearing loss due to exposure to high levels of decibels, thus they may not be able to hear the mosquito ringtone. Some people who are 55 years old who were born with tremendous hearing ability, have protected that ability by avoiding exposure to high levels of decibels may be able to hear the ringtone.

So just because you can hear the ringtone it doesn't mean that others your age can also hear it.

Congratulations it sounds like your hearing is in excellent condition.

Maybe it has something to do with malaria. Study viruses for a little while, there's pictures on Yahoo Images. Maybe it's a message from Santa .. . I heard the sleighbells 2 Novembers but not in a row; once he was really far away and wasnt planning on stopping by.

when your ears have heard enough loud music to be damaged, AND they have grown old enough that they no longer are in perfect condition.

they basically have to just get older. when they get older, they will be able to perceive less and less, including the 'mosquito' ringtone.
