FDR and Truman. Truman was the President at the end of the war, since FDR had died in office. Truman ordered the atomic bombs dropped on Japan. So, there were two presidents at the time of WW2.

franklin d roosevelt was president from 1933 - 1945 (12th april) while truman from 1945 - 1953. the war ended sometime in september 1945, probably on the 3rd or 4th september.
