id say that this country is gonna be in serious trouble if it doesnt shape up. There are so many things that need tweaking, if not outright torn down and rebuilt. As things are, many things could go wrong, and the attitude would be business as usual, since there arent many who even care anymore.

Absolutely! With Bush still at the helm of our nation, we are seeing the evolution from an over 200-year democracy into a fascist state. Our civil liberties have been slowly, but surely eroding since 9/11! Bush is nothing more than a dictator and will stop at nothing to silence the opposition! You get the picture!

Unprepared? No, in fact we are better prepared than anytime before The caveat... it just might not be enough for what is coming. When we allow a foreign dicatator who has called for the death of America and called our own president the devil to come on to American soil and continue with his rhetoric and gibberish, then we have some BIG problems on our hands. I love America deeply. But, I don;t think it will be around much longer.

I don't believe we are. Media says a lot but I haven't seen one change in the immediate vicinity where I live. Call me naive, but this could all very well be made up for all I know. Most of the things I know about history and current events, I'm simply taking someone's word for, and I find a lot of people say that same thing. So who knows anymore. When I view something with my eyes, I'll have a more definite answer for you.

Disagree. Look at how the Democrats (Nancy Pelosi) are calling Cahvez a thug for what he said. Americans will stick together in the long run when things from outside get too out of hand.

Kinda like a family. You and your brother may fight all the time, but if someone else hits him you're gonna stand by him.

Never doubt the will of American Freedom.

The whole world is falling apart! And if you want 'psychologically unprepared' you should travel around Europe a bit.

Democracy died in America in the year 2000 when the supreme court appointed a president instead of him being voted in by the majority of the people.

Fascism & Nazi-ism have replaced Democracy in America since then.

George Walker Bush is America's first dictator. He even admitted that he would like to be a dictator. What he says goes - whether it's legal or not. He uses Nazi techniques, like wire-tapping and condoning torture. He puts himself above the law. He has the green-light to break all American laws in the name of fighting terrorism. He calls for war on any nation he whims at any time he whims.

America is now surviving with a permanent war-time economy.

America is as strong as the people in it. Every person who believes that there is something inherently wrong with the country puts another people on the scale that's balancing our country. Every person who spreads dissent against elected leaders puts another chain link in our shackles. On the other hand, every person who believes in our country puts their pebble on the other side of the balance. Every person who serves in uniform or upholds those that do releases another fetter. The reason America is not falling apart is that its people are not falling apart. We still vote. We still engage in civil debate. We still care for the sick, the poor, the orphans. Yes, we could all do all of this better, but it's personal. Every time you visit a shut in America cares for our elderly. Every time I help a kid find her mom in the store, America is helping her children. Every time we get a man off the street America's economy is helped. America is as strong as the people in it.

That's not the country I live in. America is the strongest, culturally and military, country on the face of the earth. It is also the most resilient country you will find. Throughout history and now the old U S of A has always been able to take a licken and keep on tickin.

We've had plenty of things go wrong in the last 230 years

American's are survivors and fighters Pedro. To think otherwise is making a big mistake.
