Antistatic wrist band and make sure the pc is still pluged in (and thats coming from a professional's opinion, my teacher... the power cord keeps the pc grounded... ) but remember to keep the computer off at all times while touching/removing the hardware

best way is to buy a grounding strap and attach the end with the clip to an appliance that is grounded to the electrical system in the building. The connection must be made to a metal portion on that appliance. Another good spot to ground yourself is to the screw that holds an outlet face plate on to an electrical outlet.

I have a band with an alligator clip you put the band on, it connects to the band with a regular snap like a coat snap and you clip the alligator clip to a part of the computer, the bottom part of the snap on the band is grounded against your wrist, thus no static electricity.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

Use a anti-static wrist strap or touch an unpainted section of the case. Also, make sure it's plugged out

You need to step on a barefloor not carpet floor as grounding says, although last time I put a computer together from components I did it on a carpet and it worked fine no ill-effect.

You can either touch the case, the power supply, or a screwdriver. Anti-shock straps also work.

Good luck!
