Place a piece of paper towel over the wax mark then apply a warm iron to the paper.
The heat of the iron will melt the wax into the paper and your troubles should be over.

Rub an ice cube over the wax on the floor, then use a putty knife to peel back the wax.
theres also a product you can get at a craft store that removes wax from surfaces. Im not sure what the name is, but it does work (used it several times since i make my own candles)

First, let it harden. If you can get it really cold (try putting a bag of frozen vegetables over it), you can get most of it in one piece. If there is still a slight film or small spots, try using a hair dryer to re-melt the wax, and put a paper towel over it to absorb it. You can also try using an iron on a low setting over the paper towel, but be careful not to damage the floor with too much heat.

Scrap carefully with a single sided razor blade to remove as much as you can. Then get out your iron and the paper towels. Make a pad out of some paper towels, heat the iron to medium, put towels over the wax and apply heat with the iron. The towels willsaok up the wax. Do all of this very, very carefully.

That's so easy !!! A little bottle of something called " GOO GONE" disolves residual wax beyond that which you can't scrape off with a scraper. Its so easy to use, and effective, it can even disolve chewing gum, and price tag glue etc.. too. It disolves wax and wipe with paper towels, then wash with regular soap water or cleaning solution water as usual to bring it back to normal.
you can get from home depot's cleaning supplies department and other stores too.
