Who are some of the nicest hockey players you have ever met or written to asking for your card signed?

Does anyone know if Jordin Tootoo (Nashville) is nice? (I have a friend who has a major crush on him, so I am curious. And I love his last name!)

Nice meaning- talks to you, smiles, or I don't know. What ever you would consider nice, tell me, and then tell me who you consider in that way nice. Get it, good!

I met Tootoo after a game last season and he was as nice as any athlete I've ever met. He was the only player to sign for almost everyone there and was gracious enough to take a picture with me although his dad was there and waiting.

Most of the players I've encountered are incredibly nice. Gretzky is nice if you realize the amount of confusion that always seems to surround him. But by far the nicest to me would have to be Grant Fuhr, Phoenix goalie coach and HOFer. Willing to sign everything for everyone and even personalized. Also talked to fans.

The nicest has got to be Mario Lemeiux he would stop and talk to you. If you wanted anything autographed he would ask you. Plus he would talk about other things besides hockey. He is really down to earth.

The nastiest had to be Tom Barasso or Ron Francis both were complete @sses.

I also always liked Olaf Kolzig and Peter Bondra too. They are always real fan friendly. Olie is the best right now. Look he won the King Clancy Award this past year. That should say something about him.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and now live in Washington DC.

Two nicest players I have ever met are Olaf Kolzig and Alexander Ovechkin. I have met Kolzig on numerous occasions and he is always personable and gracious and really goes out of his way to do things for the community. As far as athletes go, he is a real role model.

Ovechkin will take time to sign autographs and talk to kids until they drag him away. For a 20 year old kid himself, he has the class and recognition of the fan that few in the game posses.

i think boris berlijn is by far the nicest hockey palyer ever. true, he's bnot famous and no he's not in any nhl team, he's not even a professional player: he's my coach! but he's very nice and i like him a lot,. had it not been for him, hockey would still be just a dream to me, but now i actually play hockey. rogier and jeroen are nice too though, they also talk and smile and are very helpful and things like that. neither of them plays professionally, but i think they could if they would be willing to drop everything else and focus entirely on hockey, they're defiantly good enough!

Vinny Lecavalier of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Me and my friends went to an autograph signing and we were all relaly enthusiastic about meeting him. He talked to us for a while and then gave us all tickets to a Lighting vs. Sabers game and after the game he gave us a tour of the locker room. It was awesome, Vinny is the man, plus he's awesome at hockey.

I found that most Hockey players were very freindly went asked to sign a card or two! A couple of my favorites were Steve Yzerman & Serge Federov! (Detroit Red-wings!)

good luck with the autograph hunting!

Gordie Howe. I saw him at an old timers game and he singed a card a hat and a jersey. I also saw Doug Gilmore he also singed a jersey card and hat. Gilmore was out there until an hour after the game.
