I do not take well to any kind of teasing. I see it as a person trying to scare or upset another person who is in some way vulnerable and at a disadvantage at the monent. Sometimes they lie and tell you that something bad is going to happen to you and make up some facts to back up what they have said. then the victim gets upset and they feel that they are one up and have ovepowered the person and they get some sadistic delight out of it. Does anyone else disagree or see it differently

was so upset I have to have medical care and follow up with a heart specialist and a psychiatrist. I went completely to pieces and brought on another heart attack. Then the guy who went after me said just teasing. He was a total stranger when he did this and had no particular reason to go after me. I filed a written complaint and a written letter from the doctors involved and he lost his job. People who are at the place and not involved hate me terribly as a result

Teasing to the extent you describe sounds abusive. You play into the abusers hands if you let it upset you greatly. You can control how you react and feel about it. Find ways to think about it that free you from its effects. Your feelings follow your thoughts. If the teasers game is to upset you, not getting upset wins.

it absolutely is not always hostile. i often tease just in fun and i think people always take it in the way that it was intended and don't get upset.
