Dr. Suess was a genius! And the Lorax is worth reading again regardless of whether you are 8 or 80. It's always good to have a reminder of our responsibility to the environment.

My daughter and I love the Lorax book- I've always read to her and made up stories for her and she now creates them herself! She wrote and illustrated a wonderful ABC book and I self published that (it's my favorite one along with Dr.Seuss's ABC book, too!). She also has a finished fun poetry book and now I just need a good publisher. working on that! If you'd like to see her website it's:

as far as the Lorax goes, I want to know what the sweet smell of fresh butterfly milk smells like! I imagine it must be enchanting:) I always felt so bad for the Lorax in a virtually helpless situation. But it's nice there's hope at the end. There's always hope, isn't there? :)

I love the Lorax! "I am the Lorax I speak for the trees!" I think it is a very effective book/film for introducing environmentalism to children. I always make sure to sit in with the kids at camp when they watch it. Always remember *Unless*

It's great just like Charlotte's web. Both contain a message and both are well-written.
