Rubbing Alcohol applied daily works for me ,but the best way to get rid of acne is a clean face and a smile on your face.(Rubbing Alcohol is just a clean way to open up and clean up your pores. And a "smile on your face" is just another way to say "not getting worried all the time" some times all you need is to relax

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

There are lots of things you can try. Everyone has a different type of skin that reacts to different treatments, so you have to sort of explore your options.

I had tons of acne up until high school, and I started using Proactiv (www.proactiv.com). I'm not advertising it, but it definitely worked. My skin is pretty clear now for the most part, I just have scars from before. It's kind of pricey, and if you sign up for the program, they'll send you more than you need (one regular two-month supply has lasted about four months for me), so it's better to buy each package when you need it (like from eBay).

Other people who have failed with Proactiv have had success with the Clear Skin Regimen (http://www.acne.org/), developed by this regular guy fed up with his acne. You basically massage tons of benzoyl peroxide on your face each night. I tried it for a while...far too time consuming, so I stuck with Proactiv.

There are even some weird things I've heard out there, like using vinegar (apple cider vinegar supposedly works best, but I don't know). Applying vinegar to your affected areas could lower the pH enough to kill off the bacteria, but I don't know too much about that.

For spot treatments (say you get a few large pimples once in a while), Zeno (http://www.myzeno.com/) apparently works wonders. It sends some heat into your affected pore and kills the bacteria, so your zit is gone in a few days max. Sounds good, but just for people who have a few spots. I wrote them an email asking about whether or not the bacteria developed resistance to the heat after a while, and mutated all over your face...they wrote back saying that the death of acne bacteria from the product is due to your body's response to the heat. Pretty clever...

And then if you have hardcore extreme maximum level acne, you can go to your dermatologist and get Accutane. Accutane is mega-prescription anti-acne medication. There could be some big side effects, and the bad news is that some people who used it and stopped got acne again, but the people who are on it have happy clear faces.

Depends on your type of acne. As you can see...it bothered me enough to do all this research, so now I'm passing it on. Good luck with yours!

P.S...I noticed some people suggested rubbing alcohol. The reason alcohol feels cool on your skin is because as you apply it and it evaporates, it sucks all the moisture out of your skin with it. When you suck all the moisture out of your skin, your body will usually make more oil to compensate fo the lost moisture...meaning possibly more acne. Witch hazel is a good natural astringent if you want to try something drugstore-cheap.

Go to a health food store and find a staff personnel who can give you advice. I recommend a bowel, intestinal and parasite cleanse. It takes about a month.. then follow up with Chinese or Japanese green tea with a tsp of honey (4 cups throughout day) everyday long term. This is good for any age group as every adult should cleanse at least twice a year to rid the body of toxins and parasites.
Ask a health store employee about candida too. Our diets cause yeast to grow spores in our bloodstream and can cause many side effects including weight gain, skin problems, depression, fatigue, yeast infections... and the side effects go on and on.
I hope you get great results... let me know how you are progressing! :)

I took a medicine called Accutane for four months, and haven't had any acne for the past ten years.

Make sure you have cotton balls. Use with rubbing alcohol and swab your face every day, and when it's grubby. This will dry up any acne you may have. Also, lay off the peanuts/peanut butter and oily foods. Don't put on too much makeup (definitely don't fall asleep with it on). Take a vitamin A and vitamin E pill with your multivitamin every day.

TCA it's an acid that dermatologists and plastic surgeons use similar to glycolic but a bit stronger. I have had it done professionally, but now I purchase from ebay a few sellers (estheticians) sell it very reasonably and it is medical grade.
