may be you also forgot what ALPEY did. And I am glad Rivaldo did that otherwise Alpey would have gone unpunished. Go Rivaldo !!!!

Because they're not Italian.

...I totally agree with you. The way they play is the way the game is meant to be played. I don't have a problem with going in hard after the ball... as long as the intention is to get the ball and not the man. Purpuseful fouls are annoying and just make the game less fun to watch. And for hell's bells, the diving and fake injuries completely ruin the game. I went into the World Cup an Italy fan, but after watching a few of their games that was over. The way they play is so boring, with so many purposeful fouls and way too many dives. The Brazillians didn't play great football in the Cup (I actually don't think the Italians did, either.), but at least they didn't resort to tactics that make the game less enjoyable for the fans.

Because if they don't do it - their enemies will. It has become an unspoken tactic. It sucks that there is no playback. That is why people dive. If playing back the camera was allowed before a ref makes a decision, players wouldn't dare do it so often.

There's nothing like that in the football field, did u forgot Rivaldo against Turkey?

Maybe you have forgotten Rivaldo's dive against Turkey, where someone kicked it at his feet, but he pretended to be hit in the head. He got the opposition player sent off.
