Your premise isn't correct for all persons who have had abusive mothers. Some of the men I know who were physically and emotionally scarred by their mothers are the most sincere and loving individuals I've ever seen. But there is an inner sadness that seems to linger.

«Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.»
Exodus 20:12
It is a very difficult question, because everything is relative. There are families in which sons are completely different: ones do love, others do hate... Why? That's life. Don't be pity of the bad guies, because as Christians are the salt of the earth, those people do have oportunities to want to change. You are not a child anymore. Do guide anyone who is searching the way.
Hug.

Alot of evil people have been abused, but many came from good homes.Look at Ted Bundy,he came from an upper class home with great parents.I believe some bad behavior is genetically pre disposed.

Everyday you can read about them in the newspapers. When they commit a crime, their excuse is that somebody else hurt them too. That does not justify their actions; however, evildoers have always been abused and they want to repeat their trauma by doing the same with someone else. I just hope to be away from these disturbed people.

perhaps these people aren't the worst people... perhaps these people are symptoms of a truely henous society, eh?
The Gerai people of the Dynak do not even have a word for rape because it does not occur in their culture. Why? Different cultural beliefs about body, power, and identity. They have different views about men and women. We create a society that gives permission to others to rape and kill. Society does not exist without the people who create it, me and you.

but what about the people who have all those advers things happen to them and turn out to be good people? some of those bad people are truly sick and need to be treated in kind, but a good chunk of them chose to be that way by blaming what happened to them yesterday for their actions today

Childhood has a lot to do with the shaping of a person's view of reality. Or should I say creation of their own reality, because if you point to your head, you're pointing at your universe.
