After reading Anna Quindlen's "Women Are Just Better" for a college assignment, I've just had it up to here with the murder women are allowed to get away with against men. If she had simply replaced the word men for black, she would not be in business. However, it's ok for her to poke fun at nealry fifty percent of the Earth, most which has most certainly done nothing to require such disgusting treatment. What brought me to much more horror was how the women in my class were so completely with her on this article and *shouted* at anyone who opposed them, me included. I was the only woman in that class who saw through how horribly biased this woman is.

My point, women have rights, but so do men. Please tell me why it's ok to bash men mentally and not women.

I'm SO GLAD a WOMAN on here for a change actually understands that many women are so sexist against men now days, and the extreme unfairness of it that most people are totally blind to seeing! I agree with you ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!

I know this is long, but PLEASE read this because I wonder what you think:

The general reason is the corrupted aspect of feminism (not all of feminism). It's created a problem with women that is very similar to the racist problem that exists between blacks and whites, where it's now acceptable for blacks to be as racist as they wish against whites which is totally unfair, and I'm a black person! Sure it is very unfair that whites discriminated against blacks in the past and many still today, but now blacks are allowed to get away with all kinds of discrimination against whites. And no one says anything about it. And if you do, your call a fool.

It's the corrupted aspect of femininsm that cuased this problem in women because when EVER a group of people who are discriminated against for a long time finally get equal rights (which is what femininsm has gone a bit too far to achieve for women), the group many times becomes AGREEDY and ARROGANT against those who used to suppress them. They use JUSTIFIED ANGER ILLOGICALLY and COMPLETELY UNFAIRLY against them. Even against those, like some men for example, who haven't supressed anyone, or done anything wrong and are actually good people. They get POWER and use it terribly. And power corrupts absolutey, it usually doesn't matter who you are.

I see the same problem with gays/bisexuals/lesbians. Again, it's completely wrong that they've been discriminated against by straight people, but now many get to discriminate against straights, usually mainly against heterosexual men in many ways, and are praised for it! One example is the kinsey scale problem. SO MANY BISEXUALS BELIEVE that 99% of people on Earth are bisexual, and rarely any are striaght, so some bisexuals have no respect for striaght people because they believe their lying about their sexuality and are in the closet! I had a bisexual boss once who treated his straight employees POORLY just because we weren't like HIM! He sexually harrassed and discriminated against us the same way many straight guys in charge in companies do to some women!

AGAIN, it's because power corrupts absolutely, and groups who felt they've been treated badly who finally get rights or at least get recgonized, get greedy and arrogant. It's the, victim-becomes-their-enemy - syndrome. This grand scale REVENGE attitude SERIOUS NEEDS TO STOP! I'm sick and tired of it.

People need to treat other people with respect. There is ABSOLUTLY NO EXCUSE to treat someone else badly just because you've gone through some bad experiences with other people or other groups. I'm black, many white people have been very racist to me in the past, EVEN BLACK PEOPLE have been even MORE racist to me in the past because I'm light skinned, but I don't hate white people or my own people. That doesn't give me the right or an excuse to hate someone or a group of people because not everyone are like that.

For those who feel it's okay to bash another group of people because of their past problems with some of them, like these hateful women against men, they are SPOILED COWARDS who NEED to grow up and stop thinking it's okay to act like those who treated them badly in the past. It's not right or cute, and only shows their low brow stupidity.

Jacki Jinx, sorry for this book but you totally brightened my day. I'm so glad you noticed the garbage of people like Anna Quindlen and those who mindlessly believe her. Your a queen in my book.

LONDON ENGLAND CALLING
Here in the UK it is the same. The reason for this is that everyone picks on the stronger majority. To be fair women were oppressed not too long ago so they do have a chip on thier shoulder and rightly so. If a man and a women equally qualified went for a job the man would probably get it due to the fact that women COULD have babies, thus, costing the employer maternity leave for months as opposed to paternity leave for a few weeks.
In conclusion I would say that if you are in the stronger majority (in UK its the white, middle class, English male) you are likely and acceptably mocked. You can take the piss out of the stronger majority as it is less likely to offend. As well as this women do tend to stress about and read into things far too much. If someone has a joke being derogatory towards women there would be uproar as it would be seen as sexist - whereas men would just take it with a pinch of salt. This is why when men argue its forgotten about the next day and when women argue it goes on for ages because they read into things too much rather than just realise things were said in the heat of the moment and probably wasn't meant.

ps it isn't feminism, some of it is a few people who identify as feminists.
I'm a feminist! :O)~
Men hating is a sad and lazy way to feel good about oneself without actually doing much to end human oppression. I study a lot of gendered oppression, but not as a gender oppressed by another gender. I study how gender itself oppresses humans. I write how men oppress women, women oppress women, men oppress themselves, men and women oppress other genders (and nongenders) etc. And how every human gives their permission for this to happen.

Because innocent men are not defending themselves. The men who are perpetrators realize that they deserve the male bashing

it isnt socially acceptable to hate black people because there is nothing wrong with black people. women are pissed off at men for good reason - because they kinda suck - look at the state the world is in - that is mainly the work of men! i could go on but, secretly of course, i love men (even tho they suck)
