I think a lot of things in life matter. If nothing mattered, why would we work so hard to improve other people's lives through halfway houses, homeless shelters, DEMOCRACY, and disease and cancer funds?

If nothing mattered in life, why do we cry when we see people beaten to death? Why did the U.S.A. mourn after 9/11 or Columbine if nothing in life matters? Why would the Holocaust be such a bad thing if nothing mattered?

I may not be able to say exactly what matters in life because that's up to the individual, but I will say that EVERYONE has something that matters to them, which is why loss of life is so mourned.

Honestly, if nothing mattered in life, there'd be no tragedies, and without tragedies, how would we know happiness? It's like what's pleasure without plain?

How can nothing matter when we care so much?

This is my advice to those who ask this question: First take a large handful of sugar and place it onto a dark surface. Next take the sugar and make into looking like a spiral galaxy. The spek of sugar in the centre represents 'you'. Everything else close to it is what matter the most in your universe. Whereas anything farthest away from the centre of your spiral would be the least of your own worries.

Your own fate is what you make of it from the decisions you choose of your own free will. Everything happens for a reason because we choose for this to happen for us. If you don't do anything with your life, nothing will happen. For every action, there's a reaction. Choose whatever path you want but be happy doing it.

Life is a big classroom,its a place to learn,grow and leave our lasting mark.We each have talents and gifts to contribute and make this world a better place for the good of all humanity.Without a faith in God or a belief in an eternal soul,life is just what you see and what you make of it.When you believe in eternity life becomes a place to grow spiritually so that when you reach heaven you are rewarded by all of your faithful deeds.Life is the total realization and expansion of our human form and spirits,its a gift so be thankful for it and use it well.

We all live for ninety-six years if we're lucky. So what's the difference ... that is just a flash in time , a blink.
Light takes a little longer to reach the nearest star. It's a dream.

But ...

We exist, and we all know it ... absolutely ... it's the blessing of all blessings , remarkable, astounding, and profound just to BE ... here and try to understand our own lives.

Yes it matters , very much.
You matter ... OK

Yours with love;
Jonnie

Only in a life where Christianity or some other religion has meaning does it matter.
