Well number one, they don't drive pick-up trucks will all their garbage blowing out of the bed and all over the place. And number two they don't live in their cars. They actually walk and interact with each other in their cities. So they are a lot less inclined to throw garbage all over like Americans do.
I was running along the Arkansas River Trail in Bixby the other day and noticed the huge number of soda cans lodged in the drain holes of the bridge. Some of the drain holes had 3 or more wedged in them.
The bottom line is Americans are still throwing garbage out the window of their cars as they drive home. It's shameful.
Tennessee had a great anti-litter campaign when I was a kid.
"Tennessee trash messing up the highways....Tennessee trash messing up the byways...there ain't no lower class than Tennessee trash."
Feel free to insert your home state in the song, cause they all have the same problem.
***NOTE...most of my time in Europe has been spent in Germany, so my experience of Europe is generally limited to what I see in Germany and they keep their cities clean.

From what I've heard, Paris is one of the most dirty cities in the world. And if you count Russia, Chernobyl is one of the most unhealthy places to live in the history of man.

So is Japan. We have so many low life slobs that throw garbage out and r sloppy.

For one thing, they don't have ILLEGAL ALIENS streaming across their southern borders and STEALING from their society... and throwing trash every where as they go... or are you talking about the uninhabited areas...

Dublin, Ireland is absolutely filthy. People pee, spit and puke on the streets.
Paris has dog poop all over the sidewalks.
It's not all sunshine and roses.
