Those must be some wicked trenches! I don't know why they need to dig them anyway. I can't imagine how that will keep the violence down. I'm sure if the bombers and snipers are determined, they will find a way to get into Baghdad.

Haliburton get the billions anyway and they sure aren't going to do the digging when they can get the job done with troops paid by the US tax payers and then bill the administration anyway - it all goes into the same corrupt pockets and the people with the most corrupt pockets are already in the White House.

War is a way to transfer wealth from the pockets of the people into the pockets of corporations - Congress agrees on the need to spend Billions and that when that money gets spent it eventually finds its way into the pockets of a few people - People like Cheney, Bush and Rumpsfelt - It all stinks to high heaven

Why would we want to fortify the city of Baghdad?? Something is very wrong, when you decide that such an action is required to secure the city.

Who or what will these defenses keep out?

Explain..... never heard of trenches there... or any plans for such...

failure to secure Iraq's borders is a major problem..... same as Vietnam... same as in the USA..... free acess to the enemy.... hell of a way to fight enemies....
