no, because the king cannot put a rival king in check because the other king being next to your king would thus but HIM in check, and you cannot move your king into a place were he is placed in check, kings can be used to aid in a check mate though, surround your opponents king and put your king in a spot so your opponent cannot move there.

I can't think of a way. The attacking King can't get close enough to really help without going into mate, and the knight can only cover two squares around the king under attack. The closest I could think of put the same-side king and knight on the same square.

No.
Say that you have a black king vs a white king and a white knight.
No matter where you put the two kings on the board, the black king will always have one legal square that it can safely move to in the vertical or horizontal direction. So it is impossible to place the white knight in a checkmate position. If the white knight is checking the black king, the black king will always have one legal square that it can move to because a knight can't attack adjacent horizontal or vertical squares.

No. The best you can do is a stalemate, with the opponant not in check, but with no legal moves available, such as in the scenario billydakid *almost* described. (I think he meant to say the knight was 3 up, blocking the opposing king's move.)

yes, if you corner the king with only one move left and the kinght is there to stop it from moving but the person you are playing with will have to be pretty stupid to fall for the trick. If those two are the only two picecs on the board, then probably not coz the king will move around and it's not like the person is going to move the kig to the exact place you want.

In theory it is possible, but not in practice. You'd have to be playing against an amateur to win with a king and a knight.
