absolutely yes..to avoid offending others, it's better to keep secrets than create conflicts...others may even encourage you to open up but when they heard about it even if they say it's ok, you may never really understand their feelings deep within and they have their judgement upon your secret in their hearts already..you may never know, you've done a damage for just "opening" up

You do not, they will come back to haunt you. If you can make peace with God and keep it to yourself, if you can. If not, and you feel someone else will tell it, you need to tell it yourself now. It is important that you make peace with whatever it is that you know or have done. If it does not involve you, then you should not say anything, unless it will cause harm to someone, like death, ,murder, or abuse to someone. Know that whatever it is, someone may be hurt either way. Like I said pray about it, and if you do not like to pray just ask for help, from your higher power.
