Shark, you're right. I am a Tiger fan. I was merely suggesting how exciting it is that it couls go to the last weekend of the season.

If you had told me in April this would be happening (Tigers in a tight pennant race) I would have said you were crazy.

Regardless of what happens, Tigers & Twins both go to the playoffs.

Yes well I have said this some many times before.
And answer some other things I see here.
Liriano is out for the season.
Baker has been lights out against the Yankees so the Twins do have a chance vs the Yankees also a new thing for the Twins they are hitting and hitting for power.

Like you said, the Tigers and the Twins are both going to the playoffs. At this point, it is a question of WHO goes to the playoffs as the AL Central Division champion and who goes as the Wild Card.

Frankly, I don't think it matters who goes in which position. A playoff birth is a playoff birth. When those playoff games begin, nothing else matters.

The Tigers scare me win one lose one. Thank goodness the Twins lost. They will make the playoffs the race for the division will go to the end.

It sucks we lost a game we should've won tonight.

Nevertheless, unless either Minnesota or Detroit starts losing considerately then yes, the AL Central will be decided on the last weekend. We do have a softer schedule though but Minnesota surprised us against Boston so who knows?

are they gonna pitch santana every game of the rest of the year and the playoffs?thats the only way they have a chance against the yankees.... how can you give anybodys pitching in the central the nod over new york? did you see the way the yankees dominated the twins and tigers this year.? wishful thinking my friend...

No Liriano for Minnesota going to make it tougher, might be the difference. Looks like it will be decided in the last weekend though.

This is an idiotic question.

Sports are a diversion from the important things in life:
-your family
-your friends
-your community
-politics
-your education
-your money/ the economy

Instead, do something productive besides sitting in front of the TV or going to sports games and eating potato chips, hot dogs and other poisons.

Good luck!
