This is an odd question. California has the Pacific Ocean and a whole bunch of lakes. Lake Tahoe is the largest fresh water lake and the Salton Sea is the largest saline lake.

The Pacific Ocean, Lake Tahoe, The Salton Sea. Of the three, the Salton Sea is really manmade, as it was created due to escaped waters diverted from the Colorado River to slake the thirst Los Angeles.
