Electric shavers are less painful (unless your hair is long) but they can't get as close of a shave as the blades. I use the electric. Saves time. But I'd keep a spare razor around. You'll need it.

Yeah me too. I can't dry shave. It 's too bloody painful, especially under the chin. Electric razors suck too though. They take forever to get the job done. Shaving in the shower is best. Your skin is well soaked by the time you lather up, so the razor just slides over your skin and gives you a really good, clean shave in no time!
Electric shavers are not painless if your whiskers get snagged in the blades. They actually rip out quite a few hairs!!

Shaving with a blade should not be painful unless you are shaving dry. That's why there is shaving soap, and shave foams and gels, and is the reason why barbers use hot, steaming cloths to soften the hairs before shaving. Electric shavers shave dry, but they don't leave as close a shave as blades. Neither should hurt though.

it is painless but afterwards your skin is all peely and dry no matter how many times or what kind of lotion you apply. It also burns for the next three or four days whenever you wear pants or if something rubs against them. It's better to take the three extra minutes to just to use either shaving cream or even just plain water. It's worth the extra time because your legs (or whatever) feel soft and they look good too.

Dry shaving actually is shaving without any shaving cream or lotion. If you mean shaving with an electric yea, it's normally painless.

If you use razors with shaving cream it doesnt hurt. That IS if you know what youre doing. Some people nick themselves with the blades. Im not sure how they cut themselves...must have poor mechanical skills.

well the only thing I shave are my legs and I use a normal big (double blade) razor and run it over the stubble. The thing is I think the face is more sensitive. Maybe you need a guy to answer this question . :)

dry shaving with an electric razor isnt as effective as shaving with a razor. i would suggest using veet....it removes hair without shaving or try some Nair.
