It could be from hypothyroidism. Go to the health food store and look at a copy of "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Phyllis A Balch and James F Balch. Also, Prescription for Natural Cures also by James Balch & Mark Stengler. They list all the food, vitamins and other things to correst the problem. I have been dealing with hypothyroidism for 25 years. It can be corrected if you stay on the right vitamins long enough. The first thing you'll probably find is that they suggest Kelp, & L-tyrosine. There will be other things you'll also need, they will be in those to books. Another good book is "Resolved the Source of Illness" but I don't remember the author. I also found it helpful to stay away from any toxins in the air such as cigerette smoke, sprays and heavy perfumes, also, addivive things such as sugar, caffine etc.Kenona It is possibly the beginning of a thyroid nodule.

If you have been nervous or depressed (or holding problems inside) you could be having spasms in your throat. Muscle relaxers take care of this problem. If you are experiencing breathing problems along with your throat tightening, it could be several things. In any case, if this is bothering you, you will have to get the doctor to prescribe some treatment for you.

Asthma. Anxiety. Thirst. Low blood sugar. Anaphylaxis. As you see, it could be anything. If I were you, don't take a Tylenol or anything. Drink some water and maybe eat a snack. If it gets tighter, obviously you want to call an ambulance or something. I hope you're okay.

Had your tonsils out? Sounds like you have either inflamed tonsils or possibly an allergic reaction. Go see a doctor now. You don't want swelling there.. It's where your air comes in.

It sounds like you may have allergies or there is a possibility you are having an allergic reaction to something.
In any event, you should make an appointment with your doctor to have this checked out.
