can you give me any tips to make my job easier?
how do you deal with people.. i worked my first day on the floor today and dont know where things are yet, how do i explain this to the people while still trying to help them ?
any tips???

Just apologize, explain that you are new, and find them an associate that knows where stuff is. If people are rude to you, just remember that it's not you they have a problem with, they just have some nasty issues that they are taking out on the rest of the world.
Or you could pretend not to understand English :)

think u just have to have a great smile and ask for their understanding that u r new and need some time to familiarize yourself.
Surely most people will understand that!

say,"sorry i just started here", and then give them a little advice like u could try over there, or point them to another eympoley. or you could walk around with them to help them find it.
