and how long does a hot flash lasts???? and can OTHER people tell IF you are having one???? help!!! i just need to know for myself when needed!!! thanks sooo very much!!

Sometimes one can flush when they "flash", allowing others to notice. Hot flashes can be toned down or prevented. Check out the Zone diet. It helps. How many years they can last is an individual thing.

omg...your body suddenly becomes so hot ..from the inside it seems. A walk in Freezer is nice to have at this point in your life. They can last a couple yrs or even more. Others can tell if you have bad ones where you become red perspire & than sometimes have a temperature drop that causes chillin for a few secs.

Try to bare through it and remember once this situation settles--your cancer risk will drop drastically unless one took the extra estrogen during this time. Include soy in your diet, and check out what asian women eat, they have the less problems with this situation.
