" I, led by my star, follow the narrow path of knight-errantry, and in pursuit of that calling I despise wealth, but not honour. I have redressed injuries, righted wrongs, punished insolences, vanquished giants, and crushed monsters; I am in love, for no other reason than that it is incumbent on knights-errant to be so; but though I am, I am no carnal-minded lover, but one of the chaste, platonic sort. My intentions are always directed to worthy ends, to do good to all and evil to none; and if he who means this, does this, and makes this his practice deserves to be called a fool, it is for your highnesses to say, O most excellent Irina."

I love to walk! There's so much to get out of it. Whenever I go to a new country, I always walk for miles and miles without a map, get completely lost and then try to find my way back. It's great fun, and you get to see so many interesting things. Last time I went to India and decided to walk back from the Taj Mahal to where I was staying. It was soooo awesome. The sights, the smells, the sounds and the feel of the air. It's always different everywhere you go. You can never get a feel for a place if you're just speeding through it in an air conditioned bus, with some boring commentary. You've got to get out into it, and walking is the best way. Even here at home I try to walk at least 7-8 kilometers a day.

Two Reasons:
I grew up in the country and now live in a small town. My Daddy was a farmer so I learned to love the smell of fresh plowed dirt, and the smell of the night air. I loved the feel of the breeze on my arms and in my hair as we played outside. We did a lot of work outside and would often play games of finding different shapes in the clouds. I don't like camping or anything where an unseen bug or spider can sneak up on me and kill me, but I do love the outdoors; especially this time of year when there's just a cool nip in the air. I love to walk around our loop and a little further because sometimes I catch a whiff of something that carries me back. I really love the way God created everything.
The second reason I love to walk--My husband always goes with me and I have his undivided attention. It's a special time with no TV, computer, phones, etc. It has helped bond us together over the years without our realizing it.

I love walking, rather it's on a track or a treadmill. Besides exercising, I like taking long walks by myself, if gives me time alone to clear my mind of lifes daily hassles. I listen to my ipod while i'm walking, it's so relaxing?

It takes me away from everything, sort of speak. It gives me a chance to admire what too often I can't, whether it's nature, traffic, people, etc.
Odd thing is that I do it during different feelings. If I feel good, I show it and enjoy it. If I feel bad, I curse the world. If I feel sad, I pity the world. What I'm feeling doesn't matter, it always take me were I need to be.

My dog doesn't potty in the house.
I get to close places I like to go without driving.
I get to breathe some fresh air and smell fragrances in the breeze.
Meeting other people and taking a moment to stop and talk.
I get to see things I might otherwise miss.
I get to think about "stuff" instead of about Driving.

I do when it's in the mall. But when you exercise you get more energy as you do things more and more. your brain is awakened faster at the beginning of the day, and stays awake later in the day .so it seems to you and others that you're getting smarter.(and you probably are.)
