Can someone explain to me the ending of silent hill?? I have a hard time understanding stuff in movies when it ends all weird.. Why is it when the woman and the little girl go home it's all white and stuff and they keep showing the guy laying on the couch and it's all bright?? Are they like really dead or something? He goes to shut the door and there is a bunch of bushes in the driveway or whatever... wtf? Can someone PLZ explain it! Thanks!

I have heard that they were supposed to be dead, but I assumed they were in a state of limbo or purgatory. The reason I thought this rather than thinking they were dead the whole time boils down to two reasons:
1.) people "died" within this realm, and
2.) officers passed the wreckage sites of the SUV and motorcycle but no bodies were found
I didn't care for the film that much by the end...

When the girl and her mom crash they die and from then on they are in some kind of freaky hell where this girl is taking revenge on the people that burned her. At the end they're supposedly dead so that's why the husband can't see his wife and daughter. Oh, and the daughter I think became possessed by the other girl that looked like her. In my opinion this movie really sucked and I didn't get the ending at first until someone had to explain it to me. I hope I was of some help.

hmm the little girl opened here eyes when here mom told her to close them and the reaper girl got inside the real girl.
you remember when the woman's husband was looking for her at the school and they past each other but it was like they were in two different places and its the same at the end in the house. damn...I'm not any help lol once i though that maybe they died in the car wreck...a Friend of mine though that maybe the little girl that got burned got in the other little girl and just wanted a Mommy and was kinda making it her own..with out the dude...I'm shutting up now because i don't even get it lol good luck

I think her and the daughter are dead. Weird movie, weird ending. Very disappointed with it. Good movie? The Exorcism of Emily Rose" Since it's based on a true story, it was really good and very sad how that girl suffered. Anyone see that one?

....just like when they where hiding in the school , and the husband was walking around looking for them , anyway they were in another time /dimension . same when the mom was trying to leave and the whole town was on a cliff , but the husband and cops were able to drive into town .. so when she finally makes it home with her kid , sghe's still in another dimension/time even though he can sense them.. i think they are just leaving the movie open for a sequel , considering they brought out a few sequels in the video game.....

Ive seen this action picture... dont think of they could desire to make workstation video games into video clips, i think of all of them died interior the twist of destiny and entered yet another spooky measurement, yet its open to interpretation. a greater effective action picture (no longer which you asked for one million!) is an American Haunting, i presumed this had greater of a narrative line and greater communicate...
