How about now? Now is as good a time as any. You've just inspired me to do the same. October brings unusual weather that is most days cold and rainy. Why not decorate now, so you can enjoy your work for the whole month! Happy Halloween!

You can start decoration now, alot of my neighbors started last week, and all of our local stores have all their halloween decorations and costumes and candy out already. Halloween is alot of fun! If I owned my own place I would probally go overbboard decorating just because I could!

Fall if my favorite time of year so I start converting from outdoor summer items to fall things right after Labor Day. For now I'd stick to true fall items, adding the strictly Halloween items around October 1st. Remember... if some of your decorations are more seasonally oriented you can continue to use them for Thanksgiving as well. That means more bang for your buck and you can have them out for two full months! :o)

~I try to have my halloween stuff down by July, because I've got to deal with Thanksgiving before I start putting my Christmas stuff up on Labor Day. But I'm a district manager for a nationwide retail outlet and folks tell me my schedule is slightly askew. As I think about it, they're right. From now on Christmas stuff goes up not later than August 15, so I suppose I'll do Halloween between March 3 and March 7. Not much of a sales generator anyway.

You could probably start decorating for Halloween whenever your local Target or Walmart starts selling Halloween decorations :)
