No. Internet cafes are not big in the US. More people here have their own internet connection.
Why don't you say something to them next time. They may not be aware they are that loud.

People develop a tendency to talk loud if they are in busy cities. One of my friends moved to the city for school and came back and now she is as loud as ever. Americans arent the only people who may be loud. You may find quiet Americans too. Some people may feel the need to be heard no matter where they come from. It is a struggle to be heard over others that may make specific individuals loud. Maybe the phenomenon that you are experiencing of loud americans in internet cafes is because America is a busy place with lots of cities.

I often wonder why some people want to make a habit of American bashing. Some of it must be jealousy.

To answer your question, I think that Americans are just more noticeable and memorable then people from other countries who admittedly do a better job of "blending in". We (Americans) are in general not as used to being around so many foreigners since most Americans rarely leave the country very often if ever. Europeans and Asians, for example, frequently interact with people from other nations. Also, I think it is fair to say that perhaps we are proud (perhaps overly at times) of being Americans and maybe some, myself included, are a bit boastful at times. Sorry about that.

Also, I'm sorry for being loud when you were chatting with your friends online. I will try to be more quiet. AND I'm sorry for hitting on the cute Pinay at the counter. But in my defense.... she was maganda talaga.

One more thing... one of my friends is Irish and he is the loudest, most obnoxious loud drunk you ever saw and is 100 times worse when watching football (soccer) on the bar's television. But he's the first person I want on my side if a fight would ever break out. I just wish he would stop wearing that "Kiss me I'm Irish" shirt everywhere. lol

And to all the Filipinos here... God bless you and thank you for always welcoming me to my second home in the Philippines. Mahal kita! Salamat po!

I am always ashamed to have people think I am an American when a bunch of those crude loud mouths get's on a Metro Car or comes into a restaurant where I am eating. Americans seem to think the whole world wants to hear their private conversations so they talk at the top of their lungs where ever they go.

And then they wonder why the people in other countries hate them.

Americans second to Israelis. But the loudest in semi-developed countries (pardon the expression) are Chinese young males shouting and yelling in excitement while playing computer games, especially in Malaysia.

Yeah, I find that Americans are very expressive in the manner in which they speak. It's not just Americans who are loud, I'm from London and I've seen many different people from very different ethnic groups that are loud.

So, please don't be ignorant, open your eyes and see that it is not only Americans who are loud.

By the way, there are loads of Irish drunkards in London hehe.

Not really.. Koreans, I think, are..

By the way, if you talk about the philippines, it is a developing country not developed country because we are at the process of being developed yet.. We are not yet developed....
