I can think of many things the human race can do. A well tuned car with properly inflated tires uses and burns less gas. Or even better, just skip the drive and walk, bike...

If people think they cannot make a difference or do anything well you have no excuse because you can start writing your leaders now. They do respond, and no, one letter will not change everything, but when you get many people that feel so strongly on the topic, it is hard to say no. Two words: Renewable energy. Many ways to do that. Using florescent light bulbs help. Be a smart water consumer. Re-use and recycle. Easy to do, and is becoming more popular.

The best thing I say you could do is plant a tree.
