the weather in January is absolutely gorgeous in Florida. the most famous theme park is Disney but they can get expensive. the best advise i can give get a park hopper pass they are a little more expensive but you can visit all the the theme park. the lines are not long if you get there early but if you can't they have a system where if the line is to long you can get a pass with a time on it come back at that time and you can get in. also if you have time they have some fabulous dinner shows and i can tell you personally that the three best dinner shows are Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede, Arabian Knights and Pirates Dinner Adventure. i hope you have a great time

It will be cool in January. You'll need to bring long sleeve t-shirts and jeans. And I can tell you from experience that you will NOT have to wait in long lines at ANY of the parks!! It is usually slow in January, so you should have a wonderful time.
I suggest Disney... there is so much to do there and so many beautiful resorts to choose from. Depending on how much you want to spend and how much time you are going to spend in the hotel room will dictate which resorts you will stay in. I'd suggest maybe the Polynesian or Contemporary which are close t othe Magic Kingdom ($$$), or the Dolphin or the Swan, or anywhere at the Boardwalk- this will give you a good look at american beachlife, since you will be coming from Trinidad ($$-$$$), or the value resorts like Movies or Music ($), these will definitely throw you into american culture.
There are also hotels around Disney that are not on property, I suggest the hotels on Lake Buena Vista, there's a Hilton, Doubletree, Best Western, Grosvenor, Hyatt, and many more... all have transportation to and from the parks!
You also have to get the Mickey and Minnie wedding ears... so cute!
There's so much, but there is some advice for you!
(Sarasota is not 1 hr 40 mintues from Orlando. Sarasota is on the west coast of Floirda, south of Tampa. It is more like 3 hours, worst case scenario, but can take between 2 and 3, depending on traffic. I used to live out there and have driven it numerous times. If you want to spend a day at the beach, go to Cocoa Beach. It is the closest beach to Orlando is very nice. It is home to the world famous Ron Jon Surf Shop!)

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!
Next, be sure to contact the airline you are traveling on and let them know that you are on your honeymoon. (I just went to Orlando last week and the airline captain announced that there was a couple on their honeymoon and even gave them a bottle of champagne!!)
I would suggest you go to Disney World! They have reasonable hotels, although their value hotels are often busy, the rooms are very quiet. It is the lobby, etc. that is bustling. The nicer resorts, such as Polynesian or the Grand Floridian are gorgeous, but pricey. You can always stay at the cheaper resort and "visit the other ones. (that is what we did last week!) We have pics of us in the Grand Floridian laying in the hammocks and in the lobby!! The money you save by staying at the value resort you can spend on nice dinners in the pricier restarants!
Each day of your stay go to Guest Relations at the front of the park and let them know that you are on your honeymoon. They will give you buttons to wear and you will get notices and receive "special treatment".
Most theme parks have lines almost all year long. Here is the difference- in July the wait time might be 45 minutes or MORE. I came back yesterday and all week long the most time we had to wait was 15 minutes!! January might be the same.
Have a great time.

January will be a great time to visit Florida because there are hardly any crowds. Still avoid weekends though at any theme park. This is what locals bring the kids to play. Definitely visit Disney. Stop by any of the hat shops and request the mickey and minnie bride and groom hats. Wear them. Not only will it be fun and make for great photos, but you'll most likely get extra special attention all day long!
If you'll have a rental car, spend a day in Sarasota (1 hr and 40 minute drive south of Orlando) at Siesta Key Beach. It is WONDERFUL!

in addition to the above answer, if you want to be adventurous in the theme park area, go to Islands of Adventure, its mostly thrill rides. i enjoy it very much. if u pay extra u can skip to the front of the line once for each ride. im not sure of the price on this though!
