What kind of shaving cream do you use? Try rinsing blade in cold water and also try a shaver with more blades. You may need to ask a Dr to see if you might have a skin condition.

Okay, lets start at the beginning. The razor you use is it adjustable you know a 1-9? If so, then set it closer to 3 or 4 and what blades do you use? Try getting Schick platinum they are close to the best. Okay now what soap do you use? Use a good shaving soap you can find a lot of them on eBay, one with glycerin is best. Use good hot water and rinse your face and then using a good brush take a lot of soap and brush it into your skin, it will open the pores and soften your skin before you shave.
When you shave do not force the razor to cut the hair just bring it down the side of your skin in a smooth motion and let the blade do the work, it will lessen irritation. Use a mild shaving gel or lotion after shaving to relax the face, Nivea makes a good lotion.
Rinse off well and voila a great shave, enjoy, enjoy.

switch to an electric razor. It may not be as close as a blade, but your skin will thank you. Also, if you insist on sticking to a blade, shave after you shower when your beard will be softest. Make sure that it is not a dull razor. Those cause nicks and cuts especially easily. Also, if using a razor, shave in the direction the whisker grow- on the face this is usually from the top downward and on the neck usually from the bottom upward. Never shave your face without washing it first- you don't want bacteria getting in those cuts if you can help it.

Hi, it would be best if you steamed your face before shaving. Do you know how to do this? You can do it two ways. 1-boil a big pot of water, and transfer to a ceramic bowl, place a towel over your head and lean over the bowl for 10-15 minutes. Or, you can fold the towel narrow and lengthwise and place around your face and lean back and relax. Either way, the steam, will open up your pores and soften the hair follice, making it easier to shave. A gillette razor is garbage. Your best bet would be to purchase an electric shaver. My husband uses Nivea for men shaving products and they smell good and the aftershave DOES NOT burn, I promise. Most major drugstores carry their line, and I think you would like them a lot.

Shave slowly. Don't shave over the same spot twice. You are irritated and red and bloody because you are not using the correct shaving technique, it has nothing to do with anything you put on your face, although you have to use a shaving cream.

Use a lighter touch. In my field of work I shave at least 4 guys an evening (nursing home) and I never cut anyone. Treat your face gently.

How do you cut yourself? I've only cut myself once and that was because I slipped and sliced my chin. Other than that, I never have.
Basically, you need to learn how to shave better.
And what you need to do is get some other type of shaver, such as an electric one because you don't seem to be able to use a normal one without problems.

My hubby had that problem for the longest time. He started using a heavy conditioner from the shower. No more cuts and leaves his face baby soft and smooth. No burning
Also, dont use a cheap razor. Get a good one.

Hi Jeffrey, I can recommend a product that my husband has been using and is extremely happy with. It is from a company called Arbonne and it is their NutriMenC Shaving Lotion. Since he has been using it he doesn't get those bumps or the itching anymore. He also doesn't get those "shaving nics." You can check it out in their online catalog at http://www.wonderful.myarbonne.com Good luck to you.
