He is expected to sign with either RYR or Toyota for the 2007 season. It would be nice to see Rudd back on the track.

It sounds like Ricky wants to run a part-time schedule of about half the season. He is in discussions with a couple of teams.
Frankly, I'm not sure that a deal can be made because sponsors seem to be more interested in full-time drivers. Also, the competitiveness of a part-time team could be in question too. I think that Ricky would want to contend for wins if he were to go through with it.

Three rumors floating out there about Rudd driving again.
1) Part time Toyota Team.
2) RYR as the lead driver.
3) Joe Gibbs racing as the 4th driver.

While I'd love to see Rudd return, I don't think he will. He's barely showed up at the races this year, and only raced one as a fillin for Tony Stewart. I think he has walked away.

He's looking at a part time ride with a Toyota team. He's been testing some cars recently.

I have heard that he may be talking to RYR but I doubt he will sign on with that team, at least not for a very long contract.
