Everyone has a hidden agenda. There was a time when the press was unbiased. I mean all media.....visual, audio, and print.

Most newspapers today have a slant. Either to the left or to the right. Read their stories and read their op-ed pages. It will not be hard to find which way they lean. Same thing for television news. They tend to become very partisan and very self serving. Pretty much like Congress as a whole.

What gripes me, is that instead of showing or reporting a complete and balanced story, they show you what they want you to see, hear and read. That is how they sway the populace. It is incomplete and incorrect data, which is commonly referred to as propaganda.

Most people do not realize this and they follow whatever the "boob tube" tells them. Instead of using their own brains and interpret the data on their own to form their own ideas and opinions. It is hard to come to a rational conclusion with incomplete data.

I don't know the exact percentage of people who believe all that the news media feeds us. I can only say that I particularly enjoy watching the FOX NEWS channel. Why? Because I like to laugh at the outrageous stuff they do over there. Those people are completely NUTS!

I prefer the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Those are some fake news I can use.

Whoever stops to think about it, whoever has actually been outside of the country for more than just a weekend in Vancouver, whoever listens to the BBC, whoever has read a history book & considered today's conditions compared to the period of the book, whoever remembers what happened in politics before the last election, whoever has noticed how stories evolve & not just because more info comes to light, these people do not believe the news media is credible today.

Both of those people live in Sacramento, CA, teach middle school, & have above average IQ.

The rest of us just go "BAAAAAHHHHHH".

No wonder I don't own a TV.

;-)

Do you mean Faux News?

Or do you mean the GOP lackeys over at CNN?

US news media is dominated by ideologues of the New Reich, and it provides contrathetic information only to the degree absolutely required to keep fence-sitters paralyzed by indecision.

There is no such thing in America as "News"... the shows are all nothing more than propaganda and entertainment... no real news... at least nothing that would be recognized as "News" by Walter Cronkite 30 years ago.
