probably. couple that GPA with a good SAT score and you shouldn't have a problem.

I got into UC Irvine. This is sort of what I remember from my transcript from high school:
-Overall GPA was 3.83 I think
-Weighted GPA was 3.9 something ( I think)
-Active in 3 clubs
-Hospital volunteer for over a year.
-On JV Badminton team
-About 170 hours of community service
-Took 2 honors science classes and 4 AP classes.
-Took and passed 2 Ap tests (got lazy senior year ha ha).
-SAT score was rather mediocre -_-

Yea I got in. It also depends on how many honors and AP classes and tests u took cuz if u didn't take that many but u have a 4.0, it still doesn't look good cuz it didn't look like u tried hard enough. It also doesn't matter than ur a member of 4 clubs. U have to hold a position to look good. But if u were really active and did lots of things for ur club, then that's better.

Ur chances of getting into UCI From ur GPA and club participation alone look average. Probably need more details.

Also, to increase ur chances of getting in, u can always choose a sucky major that's not very competitive and then change it once u get in. Although I'm not sure if u can change the major right away... Here's another tip: NEVER put ur major as "undeclared" when applying. It decreases ur chances of getting in since UCI won't know where to put u so they might just reject u if u don't have an outstanding GPA and SAT score. Even if u have no clue of what u want to major in, choose one anyway. I think I chose a social science like humanities or something, which is way off from my current major. Remember to start writing ur essays early and get the edited by ur teacher and various other ppl! I guess my essays were acceptable since I got in. One of my essays I wrote was funny (which I guess they liked), but I don't suggest u write anything funny because it's risky. It could backfire. They might read it and think it's lame.

Btw, I ended up deciding not to go to UC Irvine. Email me if u have more questions.

Good luck!

hell yeah you'll get in to UCI.. its UCI not UC berkley.. as long you aint screw up during your senior years, u got no problems... and make sure you still in those clubs in your senior years and try not to take that so easy class when you are in 12th grade and dont forget to take a good care of your SATs score.. study hard during ur 11th grade, coz it's the one that really matters. good luck buddy

I'm sure you could. Just make sure you take the SAT 2s because you need it to get into a UC.
