well, although they changed the formula of Nair from way back in the day it still gives me a rash. If you do want to use it anyways than make sure that you shower right afterwards...and put on lotion. Nair is also no meant to put on private parts of the body ...or other sensitive areas ..If you were thinking of getting hairless maybe go for a waxing ...it'll be more effective. Besides with Nair it is more trouble than its worth...when i used it on my legs last month the hair grew back and I ended up shaving it the next day anyways...it's a crappy product and that goes for the other kinds like it such as Neet....A more permanent, but expensive way to go would be electrolysis.

Nair and other depilatory creams do not work well on thick or coarse hair. Your best bet is either getting a waxing kit (you can buy pre-waxed strips that you just rub on then pull off) or stick with shaving. To get rid of the bumps, use either rubbing alcohol or antibiotic ointment on the area after you shave.

I don't know about Nair but, there is cream that will prevent the bumps, & decrease them too. You can find it at walmart or Target next to the hair removal products.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Nair may sting a little.... it may also leave bumps. Try shaving downwards only............down with the hair not against it... you can try a dry shave...stand in the tub or shower and cover your 'area' with talcum powder...sharp razor..go to work... slowly in the downwards motion....the more you shave the less iritation there will be...good luck!!
