Being English of course I feel superior to both.

Probably, if I had to choose, the British or the Germans. As they both have , historically, tended to think they're the "master race" and demonstrated that implicit belief through their notorious colonialism, bigotry towards the native peoples of the lands they were occupying, and their mutual tendency for never-ending squabbling and warfare. The French really aren't much better, for that matter, but at least they speak one of the languages of love. ;-)

And so it goes...at one time we were supposed to hate some other country that we were at war with, English, French, such a long time ago. Then the Japanese, the Russians, Arabs and Mexicans now. Your superiority is misplaced and you shouldn't hate anyone. My father was a Scot, and he always felt superior to the English.

Don't hate any of them. Dislike, distrust, detest, disrespect some individuals and organizations in any societies. But not a whole population for the actions of a few or because they have a different culture than mine.

By the way. In spite of being part English, I must observe that Americans kicked English butt twice. And Boney very nearly did too.

Neither. Being an American, I'm a proponent of equality and don't need to feel superior to anyone. . .

. . .including a certain country whose butts we whipped not once but twice during these little altercations called The Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. :-)

Edit:

Does no one have a sense of humor around here? That was a joke, as indicated by the smilie at the end.

carpediem3000, your comment was uncalled for.

Let me see, there is a certain has-been nation surrounded by water, just across the English channel from France. They have some really arrogant conceited people living there, who think their bastardized and nearly incoherent version of the language is the only correct one. I feel really superior to them.

We may sound strange, but we not only kicked your rear ends twice, but had to come and save them twice more.

I will say there was one person deserving of respect. Her name was Margaret Thatcher. Even if she talked funny, in my opinion, when/not if we have a woman president she should be much like Maggie. Maggie was not a "oh, us poor dears' we are so helpless" feminist, she was a Prime Minister who represented all citizens, not just man-hating feminists. Hurrah for Maggie.

I do not hate anyone including French and Americans. We are all brothers and sisters as descendants of Adam and Eve.I hate someone who hates others as his/her brothers and sisters without a justified reason. We should love and help each others. We should remind others who have been atempted by satans,so they humiliated, insulted, killed, bombed or attacked the innocent people.whatever their race.and religion ,whereever they live and whenever they did it.
