AMEN!
Request lines are more & more uncommon now. & Amer. Idol Does suck! Same generic crap over & over again.
Stop relying on mainstream radio & Tv for the good stuff. These days, people in the know use the net, or word of mouth....

Your music/talk radio station doesn't care about the music. They care about advertising $$. If you hear the same 3 songs over and over it's because they've determined their listeners only listen for 30 minutes(or whatever) at a time. There's a clock for the music loop and the ads. Radio is just like any other business. The music source/co.'s don't care about the stations either. There are only 3 corporations that own ALL the stations in your market no matter the format! The days of the mom/pop radio station making a star out of an unknown singers/band is over.

I agree music is getting worse. Everyone is being molded to sing about love, heart break and shooting someone. I think every radio station should have a request line for at least 3 hours during the day.
I listen to rap and r&b and the two stations here in fort worth texas that play thoes kinds of music play the same songs all day. One station will play a song and then when I switch to the next station, they are playing the same song and I hate that. I hate all the talking and commericals they play. When I'm in the car I like to listen to music. If I want to hear people talkin, I will watch tv.
Hopefully one person will change the way we listen to music in a good way.

the comparable artists have been getting the spotlight back then too. All that replaced grew to become into the artists in case you want to concentration on spotlight. Yeah even though it has gotten worse. in spite of the fact that enable's be honest Garth Brooks grew to become into doing an incredible type of crossover, as grew to become into Sara Evans and others. the version is Taylor quick, Rascal residences, and Keith city are not extremely crossover(except they go over from POP). Kenny Chesney isn't united states of america the two, yet he's not pop or a crossover. He began doing united states of america, and then went to his Island song.

hell ye! you turn on the radio and they're playing the same five songs over and over and over. . .until a new song comes out that they decide we should like, and the old ones disappear completely. good music shouldn't be disposable like that! why is it that there are so many great songs from the 80s and 90s, but hardly any recent hits that are truly decent? i think this idea comes out in other aspects of the media as well, such as television and movies. it's kind of sad. . .

I don't really listen to the radio anymore because they do play the same songs over and over again. It's really annoying when another station will be playing the exact same song as another radio station.

i agree with you 100%... and if their not forcing you to listen to what you are already sick of hearing in the music dept.. it's a radio ad of their own station advertising that they are commercial free... what the hell is up with a commercial like that?? gripes my butt!
