the general equation for this is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
you take your (x,y) coordinates and plug them in

a.(-1-5)/(5-10)= -6/-5
b.(-7-2)/(4-4)= -9/0 Slope is undefined
c.(-3-4)/(-1-4)= -7/-5

Hope you learn something

The slope is the ratio of the amount of "rise" of a line to the amount of "run".

The "rise" is how much higher the second point is than the first.
The "run" is how much farther right the second point is than the first.

So, for part a...

The rise is the amount of change, or the distance between the y points. For the points (5,-1) and (10,5) the y points are -1 and 5. The difference between the two is:

5 - (-1) = 5 + 1 = 6

For the x points of 5 and 10:

10 - 5 = 5

The slope is the "rise over run" or:

6/5

You can figure out the rest now.
