I am putting a display together of students' work for open house next week and I wanted a neat title for the display...something other than "A+ Work" or "Star Students" or "We Made the Grade." I teach high school English. I would be grateful for some creative ideas. Thank you!

A teacher across the hall from did the Students are so bright they have to wear shades theme. She hung a huge pair of shades in the hallway made from the large colored paper for bulletin boards. She took snapshots of all of the kids, cut their head out,in cirlces and sq.,and placed them all over the black part of the shades with a bright color behind each pic. Then inside the room she had individual shades in the same color on the wall above their work. She had their names neatly printed on the glasses. We had to cover all grades when we hung up work because of the privacy issue. I just put the grades on back of each paper or project they had done. I used Picture Perfect one time and put colored frames around all of the papers and one large frame drawn around the bulletin board.I liked to put all students work up even if they were lower grades because that might be their best. A cover sheet with name and assignment will keep onlookers from being too nosey! I put pics out of groups of kids and made sure to have everyone in the pics. Some were friend groups or work groups but it was nice.Best wishes!

Well you dont have to try to impress the parents or anything. They go to Open House to talk to the teachers and understand the school. But you could still put stuff like "Great Effort" or "Keep It Up". I'm sure the parents would like those because it's complimenting not well...lying in a way.it doesnt mean they're the best but more like they are doing the best they can.
