I like the new "whipped mousse" foundations that offer a lot of coverage and make my skin look flawless. Problem is, I think they may be causing my acne to worsen. Does anyone know if the makeup "BareMinerals" is really worth purchasing? I like full coverage, not just a sheer.

Bare Minerals is a great foundation! But I don't know how bad your acne is. If you have occasional breakouts and mainly acne scarring, then I would suggest it. It gives a medium coverage, but too much is too much with any makeup. It won't do anything for texture. If you have serious acne, however, I would try an acne fighting makeup that contains some sort of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Also, make sure that any foundation you use is oil-free or non-comedegenic. These formulas won't clog your pores.

Try Clinique Clarifying Makeup.

What type of skin do you have? Whipped mouse foundations are not for oily skin. They're for dry or combo skin. If you must use those foundations, consider getting a pressed and loose powder for oily skin AND buy blotting papers to use throughout the day.

Mineral makeup works great. I use Physician's Formula (cheaper than BM). I was worried about the sheer vs. full coverage too but have found that natural look of the mineral makeup looked much better than the full coverage look anyway. If there are things you are trying to cover up, you might consider a good concealer to use with the mineral makeup.

I am SO buying it on sunday because I went with my sister to the boutique yesterday and she bought it and her skin looks fabulous. Buy the starter kit. It comes with 2 foundations, mineral veil, warmth, blush, like 3 brushes, a to-go compact, and an instruction dvd. It's 75.00 but you get lots and you only need a little bit. The girl above me said it doesn't matter what kind of makeup you wear. That is not true. Makeup has all kinds of crap in it and bare minerals is actually good for your skin.

If you are breaking out from your make-up stop using ASAP. Cause that happened to my sister, she switched make-up and loved it,but then her skin started to break out and she thought it would go away & kept on using her new make-up that she loved.......... well it only got worse and worse! She end up with hives and break out all over her face and neck that wouldn't clear up for a few weeks. Cause her skin we so irritated. So if your skin tells you it doesn't like something STOP using it! I use the BareMinerals mineral veil and I love it. It does feel better for you skin! You should try it , even if its $75 for a starter kit , that kit can last you 9 months to a year. Remember with make-up , less is more!
Good Luck :0)

I love bare minerals foundation and mineral veil. It gives great coverage, just make sure you apply it like it recommends. You don't have to use much of it to get full coverage.

I have used Bare Minerals over a year. Their makeup with the multi-tasking bisque used with it, will cover ANYTHING! And it's good for your skin. It has actually calmed my red, raw-looking cheeks. It's worth every penny.

I believe that if you purchase it from sephoria.com then you can return it if you are un-happy with it. I have the bareminerals, but I must not apply it correctly bc I don't really like it.

It doesn't really matter what type of make up you wear, if you don't take it off before you go to sleep and wash your face with soap, your acne still will get worst.
