Are you refering to the annular solar eclipse happening today (September 22)? If so, you won't get to see any of it from New York, or anywhere else in the US. The eclipse itself lasts from 10:00 Universal Time to a little after 13:00 UT. That's 6 am till 9 am EDT. In other words, it's over now. If you do a search on line, you might be able to find folks who took pictures and/or video, though (although most of the eclipse was only visible in the Atlantic Ocean).
