tHE PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO EDUCATE ALL CHILDREN TO BE ABLE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE PROFESSIONS THEY CHOSE.IT'S PURPOSES ARE POSITIVE BUT THE CARRING OUT OF THESE PURPOSES GET SIDETRACKED AT TIMES BY SPORTS, PERSONALITIES,ILLNESS,JOB PRESSURE, AND MANY MORE REASON. NO IT DOESN'T ALWAYS MEET THE NEEDS OF THE STUDENTS. SOME SCHOOLS DO NOT HAVE THE APPROPRIATE HIGHER MATH CLASSES FOR STUDENTS WHO NEED THEM FOR CERTAIN PROFESSIONS.SOME SCHOOLS ALLOW MANY KIDS TO FALL BETWEEN THE CRACKS IF THEY ARE NOT LABELED SPECIAL ED. BUT ARE NOT ABLE TO KEEP UP IN THE REGULAR CALSS. THESE KIDS CONTINUALLY FALL BEHIND AND USUALLY END UP QUITING SCHOOL.YES, SOME STUDENTS FROM HIGHER INCOME AREAS ARE BETTER EDUCATED AND HAVE BETTER CHANCES AT BETTER COLLEGES. THEY HAVE MORE VARIETY TO LEARN IN ANY GIVEN AREA AND NOT JUST HAVE THE BASICS AS THE PPORER SCHOOLS DO. THE HIGHER INCOME SCHOOLS HAVE MORE TECHNOLOGY AND MORE TEACHERS PER STUDENTS. THEY ALSO HAVE MORE PARENTS INVOLVED BECAUSE THE POORER PEOOPLE EITHER ARE WORKING OR MAY NOT HAVE A WAY TO GET TO THE SCHOOL TO BE INVOLVED OR MAY SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE AND CAN'T BE INVOLVED. IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT STUDENTS WHO HAVE MORE INVOLVED PARENTS AND COMMUNITY ARE BETTER EDUCATED AND THE SCHOOLS HAVE LESS CRIME ALSO.I HOPE THIS HAS HELPED. IT IS MY OPINION AND SOME ARE FACTS. I TAUGHT SCHOOL AND HAVE RAISED 3 KIDS AND I WAS ALWAYS ACTIVE WITH THEIR TEACHERS. I TRY TO BE ACTIVE WITH MY GRANDKIDS ALSO BECAUSE I WANT THEM TO BE GOOD STUDENTS AND SUCCEED.BEST WISHES!

I'd say the primary purpose is to produce educated citizens who can participate in a democracy and contribute something of value to society. And if you think education is expensive...try ignorance!
