Have it checked immediately, there are lymph nodes there that can swell which can be nothing at all to worry about, or they could be a symptom of something that requires a doctor's attention. Better to be safe than sorry!

the only person I know of having a lump around that area it was actually on his shoulder but it ended up being a tumor that he had removed. He's doing fine 5 years later but I would definetly get it checked if it doesn't go away soon. How long have you had it?

Actually, my son broke his collarbone two different times. The doctor told me that almost everybody has inadvertently broken their collarbone. A telltale sign is a bump on the collarbone where the calcium accumulates.

However, you should still have it checked out.

if you are young, it is most likely a lymph node from an infection or virus you may have (like a cut in your ear, or your finger?) that drains there. watch it.

if you are older, go to MD sooner. it could be anything but you shouldn't ignore it.
