Yes - we get the Charles Barkley thing.... but what the hell does he have to do with their music???
Why don't I just call myself "Stupidy Stuperton" and maybe everyone will just trust that I am REALLY talented...

Oh Gawd!! Here we go!! First of all, "Gnarls Barkley" isn't a person, it is the name of a group, that includes DJ Danger Mouse, and Cee-Lo. The name came from friends, "making up fictional celebrity names like Prince Gnarls and Bob Gnarley." When someone came up with Gnarls Barkley, Danger Mouse wrote it down.

Actually, Gnarls Barkley is not a person. It is the name of the band. Gnarls Barkley is a collaboration between Baltimore-based DJ and producer Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) and rapper/singer Cee-Lo (Thomas Callaway), from Atlanta who now resides in Baltimore.

It really is. It's just such a bad pun. Also, it's their music. No one in the group is named Gnarls Barkley. It's Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo. Two guys that used to release music under those names, anyway.

I've wondered if it wasnt a fake name, just strange enough to maybe not be an actual real singer as in weird people doing weird things with technology; on my personal karaoke machine except I thought it was just a regular radio! I think it's a fitting name with the singer they have, I thought it was his name; his voice sounds like gnarls and he's barking about insanity. Of course that's such a taboo subject kind of like people beating dogs to punish them
