i want to mention that i live in a neighborhood without a lot of woods just houses..my cat stays inside..

cougars are extremely elusive,,,, they are rarely even spotted, let alone ones that come into contact with humans.

they are not an aggressive animal when it comes to humans,,,
unless of course you go after it and corner it....which i don't think is the case here.

but it will not come to you and attack you,,, it will in fact run from the mere sight or smell of humans..... its the way a cougar is.

There have been dozens of reports of cougars returning to the western hills of Massachusetts over the past two decades, but few confirmed sightings of either the animal or its track.

You're in no danger.

You should be more concerned about bears and cayotes.

hell yes, cougars eat people...they really do.. get a gun and kill them soon, before they get you or your family..take friends with you too, hunt them all down, do the neighborhood a favor.

yes your in danger.. i would move quickly to another area with out thinking twice!!
