do you think learning excel from excel for dummies is a good idea?

also the same for microsoft word

Yup, Dummies books are actually very good. The biggest problem with dummies books is some people are too sensitive about letting others know that they use them.

I taught myself asp programming with a Dummies book. I already had years of experience as a programmer, and still I found the book to be extremely helpful.
