well, music does change your attitude. maybe if you listen to it long enough it can change your personality too. personality is all about habit.

Maybe. I won't definitively say yes, but I have noticed a change in myself and in the last few years I've started listening to a lot of punk music.

My boyfriend is a huge fan and used to drag me along to concerts all the time. Over the years it's grown on me, as most of it is quite funny and upbeat.

I used to be more introverted, but now I'm quite outgoing and laid back. I wouldn't say it's all because of the music, but it's probably been a factor.

well, it doesnt actually effect my personality but it does make me feel better. i LOVE music... But It's Better If You Do always makes me laugh and want to sing along. It never ceases to put a smile on my face. I can always get into the real dark stuff with a smile on my face too. Books have shaped my personality more, I think. But music sure has helped shape it too in a way, i guess.

Change of personality? Probably not. But, studies do indicate that music and style of music can change one's behavior and even academic performance.

...and visa versa. i think music definately can change your personality. but also your personality affects your choice in music. i know from personal experience that the music you listen to can be just as powerful infulence on yourself as the people you hang out with.
