For what it's worth, I have power point in my downloaded WORD program!

Powerpoint is a seperate and distinct program from Word. Just because you have word does not mean you can open powerpoint. There is a free viewer (no editing ability) available here:

if you are sure that you have Powerpoint loaded then maybe the problem is that the wrong program is selected to play pps files?..you havent provided any info as to what is happening when you try to play a pps file...you can check and see though...go to My Computer then to Tools then Folder Options then File Types...scroll through list till you find pps files...make sure that Powerpoint has been selected as the program to open pps files with

Powerpoint may not have been installed or got corrupted
Get the office 2003 or XP cd and do a reinstall. Backup yur pps documents in case there is a virus so u wudnt loose anything. Laterz!

try right clicking to select 'open with' on the .pps files. select power point and say yes to 'always use this program to open these files' by checking the box under the list window.

Well there should be an ".exe" file and a ".ppz" file. The .exe is the one which runs the installer, and the .ppz is the one which contains all the files that were added into the PP presentation.

Make sure power point is INSTALLED....
